April 29: Our Grades 4-6 children competed in the Brunswick District cross-country run today. The children aged 9 -10 ran 1.5km , while the older children ran 2km. Congratulations to the runners who made it through to the Zone competition, and well done to all the competitors. Everyone tried their best and had a fantastic morning on the course. Thanks to Andy (4/5AR) for organising the training sessions throughout terms 1 and 2, and to Andy, Rachel and Ellie for supervising the children on the day.

April 5-19: School holidays already! Thank you to all the students. staff and families who have made this such a great term. We wish you a happy and safe holiday and look forward to seeing you all again in Term 2.

April 3: Throughout Term 1, the Grades 4-6 children have been receiving sports coaching from Princes Hill Year 9 students. These Friday afternoon sessions have focused on the skills needed for our inter-school sports and have been very much appreciated by all the children.  Today was the final day of coaching for Term 1, but we look forward to further sessions next term. We are very grateful to Monica and her students at Princes Hill for their excellent coaching and to Andy and Jenny for supervising the sessions each week.
April 2: Our Picnic Under the Peppercorn Tree was a wonderful evening at Brunswick South. It was great to see so many families relaxing and enjoying the event. We all especially enjoyed meeting the new prep families and other new members of our school community. It was a great way to wind down at the end of a busy term! Thank you to everyone for making this such a friendly and welcoming night.
April 1: The children were very excited to take part in a bi-lingual (Italian and English) musical production of "Il Fagiolo Magico" today. Presented by the group "Fables and Frolics", the production was a modern version of Jack and the Beanstalk (complete with a not-so-scary green-faced giant!) Thanks to Lucy for arranging the incursion and for making the Italian program so enjoyable for everyone.
