February 20-22: The Grade 5-6 children enjoyed a fantastic 3-day camp at Lyrebird Park, Yellingbo. The many exciting activities arranged for the children included ropes courses, a rock-climbing wall, trust and initiative games, team work challenges, a scavenger hunt, a campfire and concert, and a night bush walk. The students worked brilliantly together and really encouraged each other in the activities. There is always a wonderful sense of fun, achievement and togetherness at camp, with the children learning to deal with new (and sometimes scary) situations and to build resilience, strength and confidence through trying new things, taking risks and experiencing the adventure of outdoor education. Thanks to the teachers (Andy, Jenny, Margaret and Sally) and the wonderful staff at Lyrebird Park for making this such a successful event.

February 13: Today was the first of our monthly Ride 2 School days. It was great to see so many children coming to school on their bikes, scooters, skateboards and rollerskates! And, as always, a delicious pancake treat was provided by Andy for the hungry riders. Thanks also to our 2008 Bike Club leaders Aymn, Jackson and Marcello for helping with the pancakes and for encouraging all the children to participate on the day. We have a very active and enthusiastic Bike Club and our Ride 2 School days are always a great success.
