2008 FUNDRAISING EVENTS at BRUNSWICK SOUTH PRIMARY SCHOOL
Many of the social functions organised at Brunswick South PS help to build the sense of school community. The funds raised at these events contribute to the programs at the school which assist in providing a positive learning environment.
A group of interested parents and staff at BSPS assist in organising a number of fundraising activities throughout the year.
FILM NIGHTS Family Film Nights are organised each Term at the Westgarth Cinema in High St. In Term 1 the viewing of “Horton Hears a Who” was a huge success and in Term 2 it was “Kung Fu Panda”. The Film Nights are a great success; the children and parents enjoy having the cinema to themselves, where Brunswick South PS have exclusive viewing. Other Film Nights will be organised again later in the year.
TRIVIA NIGHT On Friday 29th August the Brunswick South PS annual Trivia Night is being held at the Brunswick Town Hall. It should be a wonderful night with lots of trivia, games, prizes and silent auction goodies to be bid on. Many parents in the school community and local businesses donate goods and services for the silent auction and games organised on the night. People interested in contributing to this great event can contact the school on 9380 1231.
ART SHOW The Brunswick South Primary School inaugural Art Show is happening on Saturday 14th November. The children at school are in the process of creating some masterpieces to be on display for all to see. Local artist are invited to show and sell their pieces of art on the day.
There will be food, drink, music and craft activities for the kids. Come along and enjoy the afternoon!!!! |
