Brunswick South has extensive grounds that are used for sport, play and outdoor classes and activities. The children have helped to plant an orchard and also care for the school's vegetable garden and worm farm. The parent-run Environment Committee holds regular working bees to ensure that our grounds and gardens are always beautiful and healthy.

There is ample room for all children to run around and play games on our oval and courts. We also provide a separate shaded play area for our Prep-2 children and another playground, with more challenging equipment, for our older children. Our two sandpits are located under large, shady trees.

Two of our yearly highlights take place in the grounds: the Picnic under the Peppercorn Tree (February) and the Twilight Fete (November).
