March 2008
Home Up Our School Teaching Classes Community

March 20: Thanks to all our students, teachers and families for a wonderful Term 1. We wish you all a safe and happy holiday, and look forward to seeing you again in Term 2.

March 12: We celebrated National Ride2School Day in style, with a fabulous class-by-class parade of decorated bikes, scooters, skateboards and roller-skates. Many of the riders were equally brilliantly decorated! Thanks to Andy and the Bike Club Committee for organising the event and for provided a pancake breakfast for all riders.

March 5: The children from Grades 4-6 competed in the District sports cross-country event. Everyone put in a wonderful effort and really tried their best. Our Cheer Squad was also the envy of all the other schools! Congratulations to everyone who ran, and special congratulations to Jay and Jeremiah (first and second in the 11-year-old boys event) and Natasha and Inez (fourth and eighth in the 11-year-old girls event). These four students will be representing us at the Zone championship event in Term 2.

March 3-5: The Life Education Van visited Brunswick South for three days, providing a fun and interactive Health Education program for all grades. Life Education provides information about issues relating to the body and helps children develop the skills necessary to be able to think for themselves and to be able to make responsible decisions about issues affecting their health, including drugs and alcohol.
