Home Up Our School Teaching Classes Community

October 22: Congratulations to the talented athletes who represented our school so well at the Zone athletics championships. Our team competed in both individual and relay events, with the relay team looking particularly spectacular in matching t-shirts made specially by Milly (Grade 5). Thanks also to Andy for supervising the team on the day and for organising the athletics program at the school.

October 20: The Forensic Detectives of Grades 4-6 spent the day with CSIRO today. They attended a hands-on "Thinking Scientifically" program, then spent the afternoon designing crimes for their Forensic Challenge. This challenge will be undertaken jointly with students from Port Melbourne and Tungamah primary schools throughout October-November, and is part of our ASISTM project: Teaching and Learning Forensics through ICT and Multimedia. Thanks to Jenny for organising the day and for the ongoing management of the project.

October 13-15:The Grade 3-4 students enjoyed a fantastic 3-day camp at Anglesea. The activities included surfing, the flying fox, night walk and a low-ropes course. The camp show was also a great success! Thanks to the teachers (Andy, Ellie, Jeremy and Suzie) for looking after the students so well during their time away and for ensuring that the camp was a wonderful experience for all.

October 6: Welcome back to school for Term 4. We have a very busy term planned, with a highlight being our Art Show in November. The Grade 3 students will be going away on camp for the first time and the Forensic Detectives of Grades 4-6 will be continuing their Forensic Science project with Port Melbourne and Tungamah primary schools. We will also be welcoming the 2009 Prep class for Prep transition activities, and getting ready to farewell our wonderful Grade 6 students. The year has gone by very quickly, so let's enjoy the last few months of 2008!
