Our Physical Education program is a continuum from Prep to Grade 6 that extends and enhances the students’ development.  These lessons focus on skill development, building towards mini-games and onto formal sports.  Within this structure we emphasise and encourage cooperation, team building and fair play, and supporting and celebrating the achievements of others. We also focus on the safe use of equipment and awareness of the safety of all participants.

At Brunswick South we believe that physical activity is an integral component of healthy living and effective learning.  We incorporate physical activity in our daily timetable as specific skills or game-based lessons and through kinaesthetic learning options in all areas.  Our sports equipment is also available for all students to use during the lunch break.

Highlights of our Physical Education program include:

- Perceptual Motor Program (PMP) for our Prep students

- Swimming program for all year levels

- Gymnastics program for all year levels

- specialised clinics, including football, hockey and soccer, to introduce our students to popular team sports

- Interschool sports

- Athletics

- Cross-country

- Princes Hill Secondary College peer teaching program
