September 21: Today, we celebrated the end of Term 3 with a whole-school "Footy Sports" session. Staff and students came dressed in their team's colours and joined in a range of fun activities, including kicking and handballing, thong-tossing, skipping, cheer-leading, trampolining and navigating an obstacle course. Jenny H (2J) had the only camera, which explains why only Collingwood supporters were photographed!

We wish everyone a happy and safe holiday, and will see you again when Term 4 begins in October.

September 20: The CSIRO brought the program "Toy Science - The Science of Fun" to school today. During the session, the children experimented with a range of different toys to find out more about the scientific and technological phenomena that made them work. It was a fascinating and very entertaining exploration of different scientific concepts.  Thanks to Jenny H (2J) for organising the incursion.

September 17: As part of our Arts curriculum, the brass ensemble Shrewd Brass performed for the school today. The performance covered a range of styles, from classical to rock and jazz, and also included lots of participation from the children! The incursion aimed to introduce the different sounds and mechanics of each instrument, as well as to enrich the children's overall musical experience. Thanks to Lucy for arranging the visit.
September 10-13: The Grade 5/6 students enjoyed a fantastic 4-day camp at Anglesea. The activities included archery, surfing, the flying fox and a low-ropes course. Thanks to the teachers (Andy, Margaret, Rod, Sam and Ursula) for looking after the students so well during their time away and for ensuring that the camp was a great success.

September 4: After weeks of rehearsing at school, and a full day rehearsing at Coburg Town Hall, the Big Night finally arrived! The performance of Quest: A Musical was a great celebration of the talent and enthusiasm of the Brunswick South community. Thanks to everyone who played a part in putting together a brilliant show. Thanks especially to our wonderful students for their outstanding performances and to Lucy who poured her heart and soul into trying to help everyone do their best on the night.
